About the Course
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder.
Among the first to arrive at a scene, first responders typically include police officers, firefighters, and those providing medical cover at festivals and events such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Security Guards as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.
The FREC 3 course consists of 5 days of face to face training and assessment, with a mix of hands- on practical elements and theory based learning. The course consists of a minimum of 35 hours of guided learning, and 18 hours of self study, preparation and assessment.

Pete is a qualified FREUC 5 who works as a frontline Ambulance Technician. Having volunteered as a Community First responder for 10 years, worked as an event medic for everything from mountain bike stunts to music festivals, he teaches with passion and draws on his experience to provide a realistic, practical training experience.
